STLF has raised $39 million since 2002
Singapore, 19 April 2018 – Singtel today presented a S$3 million cheque under its flagship philanthropy programme, the Singtel Touching Lives Fund (STLF). The funds go toward six special education schools (SPED) and their programmes for children and youth with special needs, to equip them with the skills needed to lead independent lives into adulthood. With this year’s donations, Singtel has raised a total of S$39 million since 2002. Singtel underwrites fundraising costs and puts every donated dollar received into the STLF.
The six beneficiaries are the APSN Chaoyang School, APSN Delta Senior School, APSN Tanglin School, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore School, Eden School, and MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School, which cover programmes in both primary and secondary levels.
Fundraising activities during the year included a golf tournament that raised S$1.2 million in August 2017 and donations from staff, matched dollar-for-dollar by Singtel.
