Nasi Lemak 2.0 is a top-grossing Malaysian social comedy that was just released in Singapore a month ago. It features a young chef, Huang (Namewee) who struggles for the survival of his restaurant as he faces troubles in providing “localized” cooking his patrons desire. In order to get his life and restaurant business back on track, Huang seeks help from a mysterious lady who runs a hawker stall (Adibah Noor). As she summons him to embark on an extraordinary journey of his life, Huang meets several “local heroes” who each lend their support to help rediscover the real meaning of “Nasi Lemak”.

Taiwanese Hokkien drama series starring idols, Sam Wang and Peien Chen. This popular TV series centres around the Jiang family, dealing with love relationships, social issues and family drama. Premiering two months after Taiwan, ‘Wives’ is now available for the first time in Singapore on Jia Le in Hokkien with English and Mandarin subtitles.

The drama opens with the wedding day of Jiang Hao (Sam Wang), son of Jiang Ji Dumpling, and Xie Wan Ting (Peien Chen). In order to ensure a grand wedding for their son, the Jiangs hired a wedding planner to overlook the wedding, insisting only on the best restaurants, wedding gowns and invitations. A movie by Chiu Keng Guan that highlights the Chinese tradition of tiger dance. “Woohoo” (tiger dance) is a tradition practiced in a small village, Beserah in Kuantan, Malaysia. As the only elder who knows “Woohoo” can no longer perform the dance due to old age, he has to pass down the tradition to a reliable group of successors. His granddaughter helps recruit five young men of different backgrounds. After putting them through rigorous training, they are finally ready for performance. However, on the highly anticipated festival day, the only traditional “tiger head” is accidentally destroyed.

However, Uncle Lam injured his leg while trying to escape – leaving Uncle Lam to continue his journey alone. Great Days is a movie that highlights the importance of familial ties and friendship.
