Ang Chun Keat, captain of Team DeloitteOne from Deloitte, said, “Our team had fun throughout the PVP Corporate League, spending quality time discussing strategies, overcoming challenges and celebrating victories together. It gave us a good opportunity to know our teammates better outside of work. It’s amazing to see what a team built on trust, teamwork and friendship can achieve.”

Sophia He, Team Turret Heist representing DBS Bank said, “Gaming has always been our favourite pastime, but it was truly team effort that clinched the win. Despite holding full-time jobs, we all have dedicated time towards practising for the competition and, through the process, built camaraderie and teamwork. We are immensely proud to have earned the opportunity to represent Singapore in the regional qualifiers and we will continue to do our best in this competition.”

Mr Arthur Lang, CEO of International Group at Singtel, said, “The overwhelming interest and support that we’ve had for our PVP Corporate league shows how much gaming has grown as a digital lifestyle for everyone from all walks of life. Through initiatives such as this and our PVP Campus League, we want to further develop the right foundation for the industry to thrive. We are thrilled to bring more events for all gamers – pro and amateur, young and old – to pursue their passion. Congratulations to the winners!”

Mr S. Iswaran, Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information, said, “The increased recognition of esports and its influence on media, technology and culture, holds significant economic potential for the industry. Our well-connected and resilient infrastructure, coupled with strong industry support from partners like Singtel, puts Singapore in good stead to become a focal point for gaming and esports in the region.”

Both winning teams and the two runner-ups of the Singapore leg have qualified for coveted spots in the online regional qualifiers, joining other teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, to vie for their place in the Grand Finals in Singapore at the end of the year.
