Singapore, 20 October 2006 -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced that all Singtel prepaid mobile hi!Card and HOT$100 customers can now enjoy unlimited free IDD calls to India.
Calls to 14 other destinations - Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, USA and Puerto Rico - are also free. Customers will only be charged local calling rates of $0.22/min.
“Singtel constantly aims to give our customers the best value-for-money deals in town. We are very pleased to be the first to enable our Indian customers to stay in touch with their friends and families at the price of a local call,” said Ms Vicki Brady, Vice President of Consumer Marketing.
Singtel hi!Card customers also enjoy free incoming calls, free Sunday calls (first three minutes of local outgoing calls every Sunday for calls to Singtel prepaid, Singtel postpaid and Singtel fixed line) and local calls at rates as low as 11 cents per minute. Special limited edition hi!Cards can also be exchanged for a free two-piece chicken meal at any KFC store.
HOT$100 customers can enjoy an additional $10 bonus talktime on IDD calls or SMS when they top up their cards before 30 November 2006. This means that customers get an amazing $110 worth of talktime by paying only $28.
