Three channels to be added to Family+ Pack at no extra charge

  Singapore, 4 March, 2013 – Parents, kids, music and comedy lovers have much to cheer about as mio TV adds four award-winning channels to its line-up this month. Starting 15 March, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central Asia and MTV will all be available on free preview to all mio TV customers until 14 April. This is especially good news for kids as the free preview period stretches across their week-long school holidays. Subsequently, mio TV’s rich Family+ Pack of 46 channels will be upgraded with the addition of three of the channels - Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and MTV - at no extra charge to existing customers.

Parents and their kids can look forward to selected programmes on Nickelodeon which will be available with dual-track options, with audio in both English and Mandarin. These include award-winning and exclusive international properties on Nick Jr. such as Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies and Tickety Toc, which are designed to engage and encourage early childhood development. mio TV customers can also expect to be fully engaged with exclusive Nickelodeon-branded on-the-ground events in coming months.

Currently, mio TV offers six other channels for kids – Discovery Kids, KidsCo and ETTV Yoyo, Taiwan’s number 1 kids’ Chinese channel that brings children a place to learn Mandarin in a fun way. Also available are Baby First TV, BabyTV (HD) and BabyTV on demand.

Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and MTV will be available as part of the Family+ Pack. More information about pricing for Comedy Central Asia will be available at a later date.

To accommodate the new channels and create a safe viewing zone for kids the existing children’s channels will be renumbered from 5 March.
