Singapore , 28 July 2006 – Customers interested in an easy and affordable service to help them view activities in their homes can now turn to Singtel’s  LIVECam.

 

LIVECam allows users “real-time” viewing of what is happening on location through their 3G mobile phones, fixed line video phones as well as via their PCs and laptops.

 

“ LIVECam is a great example of how we innovatively use technologies, such as 3G and broadband, to bring benefits to our customers.   This service offers them convenience and peace of mind by letting them monitor events ‘live’ regardless of where they are, “ said Ms Vicki Brady, Singtel’s Vice President (Consumer Marketing).

 

“An added benefit of the  LIVECam service, included at no extra cost, is the ability for customers to assign access rights for up to nine other family members and friends.”

 

The monthly fee for the first  LIVECam subscription starts at an affordable $5.25.   Subsequent subscriptions cost $3.15 per month.  Customers purchase the wired cameras at $365.40* and the wireless version at $438.90*.  A subscription is needed for each camera.

 

SingNet customers on the 512kbps,1500kpbs and 3500kbps broadband plans can connect up to three cameras, while those on the 10Mbps and 25Mbps plans connect up to eight cameras.

 

As of 31 March 2006, Singtel had 130,000 3G subscribers and 352,000 broadband customers.
