mio Home subscribers receive two free SuperSaver Packs of their choice
Singapore, 30 January 2009 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced the launch of a new SuperSaver promotion aimed to reward those who want to experience mio TV’s full range of content with on-demand and HD channels included in the bundle packs. Customers can sign up for Singtel’s mio Home
[1] package where they can enjoy two free SuperSaver Packs of their choice, along with a bundled deal of a fixed line and broadband service for as little as $39.90 per month. On top of that, customers will also receive an additional 10% off all other mio TV content, including the 3rd SuperSaver Pack, and free DVR (Digital Video Recording) for six months.
The three SuperSaver Packs: SuperSaver Chinese, SuperSaver English and SuperSaver Malay/Indian will allow customers to select their choice of content programming according to language preference. Customers will also be able to save up to 80 per cent off regular subscription fees (based on individual channel subscription) when they sign up for the new SuperSaver Packs.
Since the launch of mio TV in July 2007, customers need only pay for what they chose to watch from an a la carte selection, with a minimum spend of only $16.05 per month (including 7% GST) and no forced basic tier. Subscribers to any of the three SuperSaver Packs will be able to enjoy this season’s Italian Serie A 08/09 free, with both English and Mandarin commentary for up to four live matches that are held each weekend.
SuperSaver Chinese
With SuperSaver Chinese, fans of Hong Kong, Japanese, Taiwan, Korean and local drama series and variety shows will have five six on-demand channels: Mei Ah Movies On Demand, Hong Kong Central, Taiwan Central, Korean Mei Ah Dramas On Demand, HK/Taiwan Mei Ah Dramas On Demand and MobTV Select with content ranging in Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese and Korean with upcoming highlight on the On-Demand Channels including variety shows like Maria’s Kitchen, Super Idol 2, popular Taiwanese drama series I Shall Succeed, Hong Kong drama series Healing Souls and Korean dramas in dual sound (Mandarin and Korean) - Women in the Sun, All About Eve and Love and Law.
Mei Ah Drama Channel will also provide TV junkies with endless hours of the top-rated Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese dramas while movie fans will get their fix of Chinese or original Cantonese movies with Mei Ah Movies.
Other Lifestyle, News and Variety Channels available with SuperSaver Chinese include: Asia Plus, CCTV-4, Dragon TV, ETTV YoYo, ETTV Asia News and ETTV.
SuperSaver English
With SuperSaver English, customers will now enjoy HD content alongside two on-demand Channels: Equator HD, VOOM HD, WorldSports HD, Sling HD, Jetix-on-Demand and Mom-on-Demand. Lifestyle and News Channels in this package include: Australia Network (starting in February), BBC Lifestyle, BBC Knowledge, CCTV-9, DW-TV, euronews, KBS World, NDTV 24x7, and music channel TRACE. Children’s entertainment channels include BabyFirst TV, CBeebies, KidsCo and Luli – The Channel for Babies.
Programme Highlights include MasterChef 4, So You Think You Can Dance, Shear Genius, Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, HD content such as Full Frontal Fashion from VOOM HD and Animal Atlas, Mary Kate & Ashley (Kidsco), Combo Ninos and Tutenstein (Jetix-on-Demand), top music hits from TRACE and hit dramas from KBS World.
SuperSaver Malay/Indian
With SuperSaver Malay/Indian, customers will be able to watch Hindi movies on-demand with Eros Bollywood on Demand. Lifestyle and Movie Channels include Astro Aruna (top-rated Indonesian dramas), Kalaignar TV (starting mid-February), Tamil Box Office (classic Tamil movies), Zee Channel and Zee Muzic.
In conjunction with the launch of Kalaignar TV in mid February, Tamil entertainment fans can look forward to top Tamil drama series, reality and lifestyle programmes from India. Dramas include Rekha IPS, Santosham, Thekithi Ponnu, Manjal Magimai and Deepangal. Viewers can also catch top rated reality hits like the dance reality show Manada Mayilada, street magic show Logic Illa Magic and lifestyle programmes like Azhagia Thamizh Magal and Vaira Mangai.
Other offerings in the Malay/Indian pack for the viewer includes Hindi movie hits such as Kismat Konnection, Khushi and God Great Tussi Ho from EROS Bollywood On Demand and Zee Channel, and top dramas from Indonesia such as Elegi, Rahasia Hati, Cinta Indah, 1:3 and Kehormatan.

All subscribers to the new SuperSaver Packs stand a chance to win an expenses-paid trip for two to watch the final match of the Italian Serie A 08/09 Season in Italy, come May this year.
