Singapore, 28 December 2006 -- Singtel has activated a Command Centre to monitor and manage the situation.
The focus of the Command Centre is to restore affected services progressively and as quickly as possible. The affected services are:
1. Slow Internet access
2. Disrupted BlackBerry service
3. Disrupted private data network services for some corporate customers
For your information, all voice traffic to Taiwan has been normalised although there may be some congestion.
We continue to work closely with other submarine cable consortium members to restore and repair the damaged cables as soon as possible.
