Singtel Enterprise360 provides telephony, data, Internet and security services

Singapore, 8 March 2007 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) and Cisco® have launched an integrated office communications solution to help enterprises streamline business operations and improve productivity.

The Singtel Enterprise360 solution, targeted at businesses with 50 to 250 employees, is a fully managed telephony, data, Internet and security service that significantly reduces the risks and complexities that enterprises face in implementing and maintaining a robust communications network.

The first of its kind in Singapore, the comprehensive solution comprises hardware, connectivity and managed services and brings together all of a business’ communications needs in an integrated offering. Key system features include integrated voice and data network, advanced security as well as remote access for today’s mobile work force. The service is built on Singtel’s data and voice networks, delivered on Cisco 2800 and 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers, Catalyst Express 500 series switches and Cisco Unified IP Phones.

With Singtel Enterprise360, technology obsolescence, often a top grievance of enterprises, will no longer be a concern. Customers also enjoy one-stop convenience and a fully managed experience with a single vendor and a single 24/7 helpdesk number.

The solution offers a rental pricing scheme for businesses to set up a complete integrated Internet Protocol (IP) platform. Ten packages suitable for enterprises of different sizes are available from S$700 to S$4,800 per month. Each package also allows a choice of bandwidth, which customers can easily upgrade to meet the changing needs of their networks.

This represents savings for customers who do not need to invest as much as S$100,000 for installation and maintenance for a regular network and communications setup.

Volkswagen, one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the world and Europe’s largest carmaker, is the first customer to sign up Singtel Enterprise360 for its Singapore office.

Dr Olaf Duebel, Volkswagen Group Singapore’s Managing Director, said: “Thanks to the Singtel and Cisco Systems team, the project has kicked off very well.  The team worked tirelessly to ensure that Volkswagen has a system that is robust and reliable.  For the first time in Singapore, we will be directly managing the entire retail business.  This is a historic milestone for Volkswagen and the availability of a trustworthy and high quality, managed service solution is critical.  The Singtel/Cisco Systems partnership is certainly a good one because of their collective experience, expertise and commitment to fulfill this key area of our growth.”

Mr Wong Soon Nam, Singtel’s Vice President of Business Marketing, said: “Today, many enterprises either do not have anyone looking after their corporate information technology requirements or have existing employees doubling up as IT support. By entrusting us with their IT needs, enterprises can now concentrate on developing their core businesses. Our fully managed solution with an innovative and flexible rental pricing scheme also helps our customers to increase staff productivity and reduce costs.”

Mr Craig Gledhill, Cisco’s Managing Director for Singapore and Brunei, said: “The demand for IP-based services is increasing dramatically due to the benefits that applications such as IP telephony, mobility, videoconferencing and security provide to businesses. However, the complexity of operating these services is also increasing and requires time, expertise and experience that most enterprises do not readily have.

“The answer for enterprises is to turn to service providers such as Singtel. Singtel Enterprise360 is an extremely compelling managed-service offering that will provide them with all the benefits of advanced networking applications with no upfront capital costs.”
