Singtel Delivers Faster, More Efficient Services to the Singapore Public Sector with HP through G-Cloud

Singapore, 17 June 2013 - Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced the success of onboarding the early adopters of G-Cloud, and the infrastructure is now available for whole-of-government use through its collaboration with HP. G-Cloud is the first private cloud infrastructure for the Singapore Government. It opens the way for the standardisation and sharing of computing resources and applications across all government agencies thus leading to greater agility and the lowering of IT costs. It also enables more government e-services to be delivered more quickly and securely on-demand.

Powered by Innovum, a collaboration between Singtel and HP, G-Cloud brings together innovation, technology and skills to deliver faster and more efficient services to the Singapore public sector.

Mr Bill Chang, Chief Executive Officer of Group Enterprise, Singtel said: “G-Cloud enhances the Singapore Government’s agility, productivity and cost-efficiency to deliver scalable, reliable and efficient government services on-demand. With its ability to provide an excellent platform for collaboration, G-Cloud is an integral part of the eGov2015 masterplan. G-Cloud will be showcased at the IDA’s booth and Innovum’s booth (Basement 2, Booth BC3-07) at CommunicAsia 2013 from 18 to 21 June 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands.
