Singtel heats up prepaid mobile market with HOT$100 Top-Up Card

Singapore, 17 July 2006 – Singtel Mobile has launched a promotional HOT$100 Top-Up Cardthat costs only $28 but offers $100 worth of bundled value.

The promotion runs from 17 July to 31 December 2006 and is open to all Singtel Mobile hi!Card,hello!Mobile and Kababayan Card Prepaid Card customers.

Mr Thomas Yeo, Singtel’s Vice President (Consumer Sales), said: “Singtel Mobile already offers a wide range of attractive features such as Free Incoming Calls, Free Outgoing Calls and Free Sunday Calls for our prepaid customers.   However, there is a segment of the market who prefers to have a bonus value attached to a top-up card.  The  HOT$100 Top-Up Card is thus specially tailored for customers who are more value-conscious.”
 
Customers who purchase the  HOT$100 Top-Up Card will enjoy $28 worth of global SMSes and IDD calls that includes the local call charges for IDD calls.   In addition, they can benefit from $72 worth of local SMSes and local voice calls[1].
 
Mr Yeo noted: “A lot of our foreign community friends use their prepaid cards primarily to call or send SMSes to their loved ones overseas.  But we know that many of them working here, such as the Filipinos, would also like to stay connected with their friends and other members of their community in Singapore.   With the bonus value offered by the  HOT$100 Top-Up Card, they can now do so without additional cost.”
 
Customers can enjoy the $100 value for 30 calendar days from the date of the activation of their  HOT$100 Top-Up Card.
 
In addition, the HOT$100 Top-Up Card gives customers the flexibility to roll over unused value. All they need to do is to purchase another HOT$100 Top-Up Card and activate this card within 30 days from the last activation of the previous HOT$100 Top-Up Card.
