Easy-to-use one-stop portal offers power packed applications
Data waiver for customers using popular Internet applications on-the-go
Singapore, 26 November 2007 -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced the enhancement of IDEAS Live, Singtel’s easy-to-use one-stop mobile portal, to include popular applications.
Customers can now access popular Internet applications very easily via the preloaded IDEAS Live directory in their phones.
Applications include eBay Mobile, Mobile Wikipedia, OCBC Mobile Banking, ONE.MOTORING, POEMS Mobile and ShoZu. Other services include Singtel services like *MAPS, MobileMail, and MoBlog on WAP. Customers enjoy full data waiver from now until 31 January 2008.
Mr Wong Soon Nam, Vice President of Consumer Marketing, said: “Being constantly on the move, our customers need to stay ahead of the latest business news and happenings around town.
“IDEAS Live puts enhanced multimedia services in the hands of our customers. With IDEAS Live, timely information and online lifestyle applications are always available to customers on the go, all at the touch of a mobile phone button.”
Mr Wong added: “Our islandwide BroadBand on Mobile coverage will further enhance their experience for IDEAS Live and 3.5G Internet data access.”
IDEAS Live is currently available on selected Nokia models – N70, N73, N76, 5700, 6680, 6630, N95, N95 (8GB), E65, 6110, 6120, N81, N82 and E51. Users can find IDEAS Live on their phone menu, or they can dial *159 to download it for free. Existing users can have the application updated by selecting ‘Options à Get latest content’. The service will be extended to more handsets later.
To enjoy the data waiver, users simply need to ensure that IDEAS WAP is selected on their phones when using the applications. The service is available to all Singtel Mobile 3G postpaid customers.
