Singapore, 13 August, 2014 – Singtel mio TV today announced that it has acquired broadcast rights to the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games, offering Singapore viewers all the action at home and on-the-go from 16 to 28 August 2014.

As the official pay TV broadcaster of the Games, Singtel mio TV will present the most comprehensive coverage of The Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, featuring four channels (CH 134 to 137) of 24-hour HD action, including a news channel.

The Games will be available to all Singtel mio TV customers at no extra charge (except mio Stadium+ Pack customers). Sports fans can also catch all the “live” action wherever they are on the award-winning mobile app, mio TV GO.

Mr Goh Seow Eng, MD of TV, Singtel, said, “We are thrilled to be offering unrivalled coverage of the Games to our customers once again, just as we did with the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and other major international sporting events. We aim to continue delivering great value to our customers to thank them for their support.”

A total of 28 sports and 222 medal events will be contested at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. 17 of our Team Singapore athletes will be participating in events such as swimming, badminton, sailing, table tennis, diving and many more.

“Team Singapore did us very proud at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games, and we look forward to supporting them at the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games,” Mr Goh added.

In March 2012, Singtel announced its support of Team Singapore at all Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) sanctioned major games taking place internationally over the next five years including the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games.

Sports fans can catch the Opening Ceremony on 16 August at 8pm and all the action thereafter on TV and on their mobile devices.
