Singapore, 15 June 2011 --Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) announced today it has received the prestigious 2011 Singapore Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Award for Managed Service Provider of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Singtel was recognised for its strong revenue growth and large market share as it demonstrated leadership in product innovation. In addition, Singtel was recognised for its well-rounded business strategy and comprehensive range of products and solutions which have helped it to achieve significant customer wins.

To date, Singtel is one of the largest cloud service providers in the region, serving small and medium enterprises as well as large multinational companies.

Singtel also achieved the SS 564 certification for its Kim Chuan Telecommunications Centre (KCTC-2) Data Centre. The SS 564 is a new standard by Spring Singapore and IDA to provide a framework and methodology to measure the energy efficiency of data centres. KCTC-2 also received the BCA Green Mark certification, a building rating system by Building and Construction Authority that evaluates buildings based on criteria such as energy and water efficiency and environmental friendliness.
According to Frost & Sullivan, KCTC-2 is the first facility in Singapore built to Tier-4 specifications which is the industry’s most stringent data centre data standards for reliability and service availability.
