Singapore, 24 November 2008 -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) announced today it has won the  Best in Business award at the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 2008 Asia-Pacific Carrier Ethernet Service Provider of the Year awards.

 

Singtel received the award for its cutting-edge suite of Carrier Ethernet solutions, which includes MetroEthernet, ConnectPlus E-Line and ConnectPlus E-VPN.   These solutions were recognised for their outstanding performance, coverage, scalability, reliability, flexibility and adherence to industry best practices.

 

The awards were judged by a panel of Asia Pacific’s leading industry analysts. Through the awards, the MEF seeks to encourage service providers not just to adopt Carrier Ethernet, but to be creative in finding ways to exploit its full potential.
