Top Hindi channels COLORS and MTV India to launch on mio TV

Singapore, 25 January 2011 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced that it will be refreshing the content of its Indian linear channel line-up.

Starting January 31, mio TV customers can tune in to COLORS (Channel 30), which is among the top two Hindi general entertainment channels in India. Viewers can look forward to captivating drama series, blockbuster Bollywood films, star-studded variety programmes and nail-biting reality shows on one of the most-watched channels from India, filled with the best and latest in Hindi entertainment.

Moreover, subscribers will now be able to enjoy popular shows like the long-running drama Balika Vadhu and Na Aana Is Des Laado at the same time as viewers in India.

Bollywood music lovers will enjoy the best tunes that Mumbai has to offer on MTV India (Channel 31). Also available from 31 January, the channel will feature popular tunes and exciting variety shows such as MTV Roadies on the station that is a huge hit among youths in India.

All current mio TV customers on Zee Channel and Zing (ala carte or Bharata) will start enjoying these two new channels from 31 January 2011. Zee Channel (CH 39) and Zing (CH 40) will cease transmission on 31 March 2011 and be automatically replaced with Colors (CH 31) and MTV India (CH 30) respectively from 1 April 2011 at no additional charge.

There will be no change to the pricing of the channels and customers who currently subscribe to the old channels will have their channels automatically replaced. COLORS is priced at $5.35 per month for customers who take up a 12-month contract. MTV India costs $3.21 per month for a 12-month contract. All prices are inclusive of GST.

Fans of Indian entertainment can also opt for the Bharata Pack, which offers great value to customers. At only $11 per month (including GST), viewers can enjoy COLORS, MTV India, Kalaigner TV and Eros Bollywood on-Demand, which offers 15 movies per month.

 

How to Subscribe

Existing customers can subscribe to the channels via the TV portal and new customers can sign up at any Singtel Retail Store, or by calling our Hotline at 1610.
