Singapore 8 May 2012 - Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) and Sony Mobile Communications today announced that the highly anticipated Xperia™ P Android smartphone will be available in Singapore exclusively from Singtel on 18 May 2012.

Xperia™ P, from the Xperia™ NXT series, combines iconic design and an enhanced user interface to deliver a superior communications and multimedia experience on the move.  With Sony’s WhiteMagic™ technology, the Xperia™ P’s 4-inch screen delivers an unrivalled viewing experience to ensure that images are always clear, even in glaring sunlight.

Xperia™ P is equipped with Sony's xLoud™, Clear Bass and 3D surround sound audio technology to provide users with the ultimate digital music experience.  It can also stream music to wireless speakers with a touch using DLNA technology.  (Please refer to Appendix 1 for detailed handset specifications)

To make the most of Xperia™ P's audio capabilities, Singtel is offering customers three months of AMPed Premium music service at no charge.  This award-winning service provides unlimited music streaming and downloads from a growing library of more than three million songs.
