'Expressions through Art' is a special showcase of the talents and abilities of students from special education schools in Singapore.
The showcase is a display of about 100 pieces of artworks created by students from 21 MOE SPED schools. These works were selected by a panel comprising head of departments for art in the STLF beneficiary schools.
The exhibition is organised to mark the 20th anniversary of the Singtel Touching Lives Fund (STLF), Singtel’s flagship philanthropy programme that supports six beneficiary SPED schools*. Since 2002, STLF has raised more than S$50 million to meet the critical education needs of children and youth with special needs including the six beneficiary SPED schools: APSN Chaoyang School, APSN Delta School, APSN Tanglin School, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore School, Eden School, MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School.
The physical exhibition was held at the National Gallery Singapore from 17 – 28 August 2022. We were honoured to have President Halimah Yacob and Second Minister for Education and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, to grace the opening event together with Group CEO Yuen Kuan Moon and our Group Chief People and Sustainability Officer and STLF Chairperson Aileen Tan.
