​This piece of Matthew’s artwork was inspired by the artist Henri Matisse whose works exudes bright, pure colours.​ Matthew attempted to use the bright hues and simple shapes to convey his mood and emotion.​ The background of colourful flowers showed Matthew’s desire for a hopeful future. The fish in the bowl of different sizes and going in different directions represents the different personalities around him.​
