Christine Mak | 麦丽萍 (b. 1957, Singapore) paints with Chinese brush and also produces contemporary abstract pieces. Her artistic style blends traditional compositions and forms of Chinese painting with Western techniques, especially inspired by the works of Joan Miro and Jackson Pollock.

Mak trained in Western painting at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (1976 to 1978) and in Chinese brush painting under Chao Shao-An, a master of the Lingnan (岭南) style (1979 to 1982).

Mak has received accolades at the Ministry of Communications and Information Art Competition (1987, 1989 and 1990), the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards (1995), the IBM Art Award (1988 and 1989) and the UOB Painting of the Year (1996). She has presented at least nine solo exhibitions to date. She has also been in many group exhibitions locally and abroad, including Thailand and Taiwan. Her art is collected by Singtel, the Singapore Art Museum, and many government agencies and corporations.
