ALU ONT LED Lights

The colours of each LED light on your ALU ONT have different meanings. Use this guide to understand more.

 

 

POWER LED:

  • No light: No power is supplied to the ONT.
    Check the power supply and ensure that the power adapter is secured.
  • Green: Connected to a power supply

 

Optical/PON:

  • No light: PON Optical Port is not synchronised.
    Check that the Fibre connection is established.
  • Red: Optical Module Power or Signal Loss.
    Please call 1688 for assistance.
  • Green: PON Optical Port is synchronised.

 

LAN:

  • No light: No ethernet connection.
  • Green (Stable): Connected to an ethernet device.
  • Green (Blinking): Data is transmitting or receiving between devices

 

Update:

  • No light: Normal state
  • Red: Upgrade has failed
  • Green: Upgrading

 

ALM

  • No light: Normal state
  • Red: Hardware exceptions
  • Green: Local access

 

POTS:

  • No light: On hook.
    Turn off your ONT and turn it on again after 5 min. If the light still does not turn on after 2 min, call 1688 for further assistance.
  • Green (Stable): Off hook, Home Digital Line is currently in use.
  • Green (Blinking): Off hook for more than 1 hour.
