What is the difference between Singtel Home Protect Flexi and standard Fire insurance?

Standard fire insurance does not cover benefits like Home Improvement, Singtel Bill Protection and Home Assistance Services.

In addition, Singtel Home Protect Flexi is a household contents insurance plan that covers the loss of or damage to Home Contents, Renovations, fixtures and fittings caused by any of the Insured Perils.

What is the difference between Singtel Home Protect Flexi and Singtel Home Protect (12 months / 24 months)?

They represent different payment modes:

- Flexi – Monthly premium payments

-12 months / 24 months – One-time premium payment

Who is eligible to purchase this policy?

- Singtel Fibre Broadband Customers

- Persons ordinarily residing in Singapore (Both homeowners and tenants are eligible) 

What is Home Assistance Services and what does it cover?

Home Assistance Services benefit reimburses the utilisation of home services in the event of a sudden and/or unforeseen event at Your Home. You may seek reimbursement on this benefit for up to 2 events during the coverage period and each reimbursement is up to the limit of S$120.

Home services refer to any of the following:

• Electrical Services

• Plumbing Services

• Locksmith Services

• Air-conditioning Services

• Pest Control Services

Refer to the policy documents for precise terms and conditions for each home service. This benefit is not applicable within the first one (1) month from the Policy Start Date.

What is Home Improvement benefit and what does it cover?

Home Improvement benefit reimburses the necessary cost of improvement or modification to ‘accident proof’ Your Home up to a limit of S$500. This benefit is applicable only in the event of a valid Permanent Total Disablement claim made under Section 3 - Family Personal Accident benefit of the coverage.

Home Improvements refer to any of the following:

• Slip-resistant treatment to flooring within your Home

• Purchase and installation of grab bars within your Home

• Purchase and installation of foam flooring within your Home

• Purchase and installation of ramps within your Home or at the main entrance of your Home

• Purchase and installation of camera monitoring system or emergency alarm system within your Home

Can I choose to change the amount of coverage I want?

Singtel Home Protect Flexi comes with a fixed amount of coverage and you cannot choose to change them.

Can I choose to pay premiums upfront?

Customer can choose to purchase Singtel Home Protect and make an upfront payment at S$90.00 or S$170.00 (inclusive of GST) for a 12-month or 24-month coverage period respectively via Credit Card.

I have a home contents insurance policy with another insurer. Will I still be able to claim on Singtel Home Protect Flexi?

We will assess your claim on this plan together with any other policies you may have. Should you be eligible for claim on this coverage, you will receive a payout from us.

Can I cancel my Singtel Home Protect Flexi coverage?

Yes. This is a no lock-in plan. There will be a pro-rated refund based on the cancellation date. However, if you have made a claim and cancelled the plan thereafter, the claim amount will less off S$8 administration charge.

What do I do if I were to relocate during the coverage period?

You just have to update your records with Singtel as coverage follows your broadband installation address.

Will my coverage be temporarily suspended if I were to apply for a temporarily suspension of service on my Singtel Fibre Broadband?

Coverage continues even if your Singtel Fibre Broadband service has been temporarily suspended, provided your property has not been left unoccupied for more than sixty (60) consecutive days.
