Change WiFi network name and password

Huawei OptiXstar V183 (Master FTTR)

1. Connect a LAN cable from a PC/Laptop to one of the LAN ports of the Master FTTR ONR.

2. Open a web browser and enter the IP address http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar.

 

3. Enter the credentials accordingly and login:

Username: support

Password: reverse of the last 10 digits of the serial number; example shown below

Example:

Product label SN: 485754438ACB4AAD

Password: DAA4BCA834

4. Go to Advanced Configuration > WLAN > 2.4G Basic Network Settings/5G Basic Network Settings

5. Input the relevant info in the “SSID Name” and “WPA PreSharedKey” fields

6. Click “Apply” to confirm change

Huawei OptiXstar K153-10 Mesh (Slave FTTR)

The Wi-Fi parameters configured on the master FTTR are automatically synchronized to slave FTTRs. Slave FTTRs support plug-and-play and do not need to be configured. If there is a need to change the SSID/WIFI password separately on slave FTTR, refer to the following guide:

1. Connect a LAN cable from a PC/Laptop to one of the LAN ports of the Slave FTTR.

2. Open a web browser and enter the IP address (Please find the IP address from the main ONR V-183 GUI belonging to the FTTR ONR K153-10) in the address bar.

3. Enter the password (same password as the connected Main FTTR) to log in to the web page.

4. By default, the wireless configuration synchronization function is enabled.

Go to More > WLAN > Smart Network Connection

Untick box shown in red to disable the wireless configuration synchronization

5. Go to My Wi-Fi to change the SSID/WIFI password.
