1. Is the wireless residential gateway (router) provided by Singtel able to connect to mobile network?

The following models of wireless routers offered by Singtel can be connected to the Singtel mobile network. While the primary connection of the Singtel Fibre Broadband network is enabled via the Optical Network Router, a secondary connection can be established using our Singtel Mobile network. To do so, you would require a USB LTE Dongle and mobile data SIM card.

2. How do I switch the wireless router from the fibre link to the Singtel Mobile network?

First, connect the LTE Dongle (with Singtel Mobile SIM inserted) to the USB port of the wireless router gateway. When the fibre broadband network uplink is not available, the wireless router would switch over and connect to the Singtel Mobile network automatically. 

3. Where can I purchase the USB dongle?

We have tested the following Huawei E3372H-320 LTE dongle to work with the above models of wireless routers. You can purchase it via our Singtel No-Contract Shop.

4. Where can I purchase Singtel Mobile SIM card?

We strongly recommend that you use Singtel Mobile network. Singtel Mobile offers a range of Postpaid mobile plans with big mobile data packages to tailor to your different needs. Select from our range of SIM-Only plans or GOMO plans.

5. I am unable to connect the wireless router gateway to the mobile network. What can I do?

Ensure that the LTE Dongle (with a valid and activated mobile SIM) is correctly connected to the USB port of the wireless router gateway. Ensure that the power is switched on, Unplug the ethernet cable from wireless router’s WAN port. The wireless router would automatically detect the relevant mobile network.

6. How can I tell which network my wireless router is connected to?

Your wireless router will default to the fibre broadband connection when it is detected.
