- Singtel’s Billing Terms and Conditions;
- Specific Terms and Conditions of Singtel Mobile;
- Specific Terms and Conditions for Singtel Fixed-Line Telephone Service;
- Specific Terms and Conditions for SingNet Broadband Access Service;
which terms and conditions are deemed incorporated by reference, the Customer shall be bound by the following Specific Terms and Conditions. The above terms and conditions are also available at
Specific Terms and Conditions for Singtel Mobile,
Terms and Conditions of Service - SingNet, and
Singtel's Specific Terms and Conditions relating to Fixed Line Telephone Service
or from Singtel Mobile on written request. |

2. |
Definitions and Interpretation |
|
2.1 |
In these Specific Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:
"Customer" |
means any person who registers or subscribes to the mio Plan or who is a customer of Singtel; |
"General Terms" |
means Singtel’s General Terms and Conditions of Service; |
"Service" |
means SingNet Broadband Service, Singtel Telephone Service and Singtel Mobile Service, as the case may be, which are collectively known as "Services"; |
"SingNet BroadBand Service" |
means high speed, high capacity Aysmmetrical Digital Subscriber Lines (ADSL) internet access; |
"Singtel Telephone Service" |
means analogue or digital fixed-line telephone service; |
"Singtel Group Companies" |
means Singapore Telecommunications Limited and each of its related corporations, including Singtel Mobile and SingNet Private Limited; |
"Singtel Mobile" |
means Singtel Mobile Singapore Private Limited and its successors; |
"Singtel Mobile Service" |
means the provision and/or maintenance by Singtel Mobile of a Mobile Line and any additional services as may be offered or provided by Singtel Mobile; |
"Singtel" |
means any of the Singtel Group Companies; |
"VAS" |
means Value-Added Services; |
"mio Plan" |
means the Singtel Mobile mio Plan which is a service package consisting of and bundling the Services, as offered by Singtel Mobile under a single price plan with a fixed monthly charge. |

2.2 |
The headings or titles to the Clauses in these Specific Terms and Conditions are to facilitate reference and shall not be referred to or relied upon in the construction of any provision of these Specific Terms and Conditions. |

3. |
Eligibility and Duration of mio Plan |
|
3.1 |
Existing Singtel Customers
|
|
For a Customer, who currently subscribes to any of the Services, to be eligible for the application of the mio Plan, the following is required:
- The Customer must be at least eighteen (18) years to be allowed to apply for one (1) mio Plan without any supplementary Singtel Mobile line, with the restriction that the Singtel Mobile Service is to be used for local calls only;
- The Customer must be at least twenty-one (21) years old to be eligible to sign up for the mio Plan. Each Customer is allowed to apply for a maximum of four (4) mio Plans;
- The Customer must apply for and subscribe to the mio Plan under one NRIC/Passport/FIN and other identification number, as an individual using his/her name and the Services shall be provided under one account;
- The current contract(s) for each of the Services has a remaining term of twelve (12) months or less.
- The Customer must subscribe to all three (3) Services for a term of twenty-four (24) months. The term is to be applied in the following manner:
- if the Customer has a remaining term of six (6) months or less under each of the Customer’s current contracts for SingNet Broadband Service, Singtel Mobile Service and/or Singtel Telephone Service, the Customer must subscribe to the mio Plan for a term of twenty-four (24) months;
- The Customer may apply for a maximum number of four (4) supplementary Singtel Mobile lines under the mio Plan. All applications for supplementary Singtel Mobile lines must be made under the name of the Customer but the mobile line(s) account number(s) and billing address may differ.
- Customers with more than six (6) months remaining under the term of Customer’s current contracts for either SingNet Broadband, Singtel Mobile or Singtel Telephone Service, will have to terminate his/her existing Service and pay the termination charges before signing up for mio Plan.
- The Customer must continue to meet all of the eligibility criteria for each of the Services.
- The remainder of the term in the Customer’s existing contracts for Singtel Mobile Service and/or SingNet Broadband Service and/or Singtel Fixed-Line Telephone Service shall run concurrently with the term of the mio Plan.
- The Customer’s current Singtel Mobile Service tenure loyalty will not be affected by his migration and subscription to the mio Plan.
- Downgrade charges will not be applicable where the Customer downgrades its Singtel Mobile Service, SingNet Broadband Service and Singtel Telephone Service after the respective contract terms have expired.
- If the Customer downgrades its Singtel Mobile Service plan when the contract for the same has yet to expire, the downgrade charges (applicable from time to time) shall apply in any of the following situations:
- Downgrade from iTwoValue to iOne Plus;
- Downgrade from iTwoPlus to iOnePlus or iTwoValue;
- Downgrade from P7 to iOnePlus or iTwoValue;
- Downgrade from Pod Contact to iOnePlus;
- Downgrade from Premier GSM to iOnePlus; and
- Downgrade from Supreme to iOnePlus or iTwoValue.
- If the Customer downgrades its SingNet BroadBand Service plan when the contract for the same has yet to expire, the downgrade charges (applicable from time to time) shall apply in any of the following situations:
- Downgrade from 3.5M to 3M;
- Downgrade from 10M to 3M;
- Downgrade from 25M to 3M; and
- Downgrade from 25M to 10M.
- Notwithstanding upgrading or downgrading of the mio Plan, the Customer will be allowed to retain existing payable VAS/s under the mio Plan. However, separate subscription fees for VAS/s shall apply. For existing Singtel Customers, subscribing to any one of the Services, free VAS/s will not be carried forward and/or retained under the mio Plan upon new subscription.
- There is no upgrade charge when the Customer upgrades existing Singtel Mobile Service or SingNet BroadBand Service plans to migrate to the mio Plan.
- The Customer must ensure there is no outstanding amount due to any of the Singtel Group Companies.

3.2 |
New Customers |
|
|
If the Customer is a new individual customer who currently does not subscribe to any of the Services and intends to apply for the mio Plan, the following are required:
- The Customer must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore;
- The Customer must be at least eighteen (18) years to be allowed to apply for one (1) mio Plan without any supplementary Singtel Mobile lines, with the restriction that the Singtel Mobile Service is to be used for local calls only;
- The Customer must be at least twenty-one (21) years old to be eligible to sign up for the mio Plan. Each Customer is allowed to apply for a maximum of four (4) mio Plans;
- A foreigner must be an Employment Pass Holder, Work Permit Holder or Dependent Pass Holder (with a minimum validity period of twelve (12) months) to be eligible for a 24-month mio Plan;
- The Customer must apply for and subscribe to the mio Plan under one NRIC/Passport/FIN and other identification number, as an individual using his/her name and the Services shall be provided under one account;
- The Customer may apply for a maximum number of four (4) supplementary Singtel Mobile lines under the mio Plan. All applications for supplementary Singtel Mobile lines must be made under the name of the Customer but the mobile line(s) account number(s) and billing address may differ;
- The Customer must continue to meet all of the eligibility criteria for each of the Services;
- The Customer must ensure there is no outstanding amount due to any of the Singtel Group Companies.

4 |
Service Activation of mio Plan |
|
|
The term of the mio Plan will commence on the date on which the last Service in the mio Plan is activated ("Contract Start Date"), in the following manner:
- if the Customer’s activation date of the Singtel Mobile Service occurs before the Contract Start Date, he/she will enjoy free subscription and bundled mobile minutes and sms for the period between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.
- if the Customer’s activation date of the SingNet BroadBand Service occurs before the Contract Start Date, the Customer will enjoy free subscription for the period between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.
- if the Customer’s activation date of the Singtel Telephone Service occurs before the Contract Start Date, the Customer will enjoy free subscription for the period between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.

5. |
Fees and Registration |
|
5.1 |
A registration charge (at prevailing rates) will be payable upon application for a mio Plan. The applicable registration charge will be based on whether (i)the Customer is a new customer who does not currently subscribe to any of the Services (ii) the Customer is an existing customer who subscribes for one (1) Service (iii) the Customer is an existing customer who subscribes for two (2) Services.

5.2 |
If a Customer is a foreigner, the following deposits are applicable:
- For new Customers not currently subscribing to any of the Services, a minimum deposit of $400 will be payable upon application for a mio Plan.
- For existing Singtel Customers currently subscribing to one (1) Service only, a minimum deposit of $200 will be payable when subscribing to the other two (2) Services.

5.3 |
Singtel Mobile reserves the right to impose a deposit according to Singtel’s credit rating.
|
5.4 |
The Customer has to pay the installation charges (at prevailing rates) for SingNet BroadBand Service(s):
- Installation of ADSL internet access and/or SingNet Tested Modems
- First on-site installation (after contractual period of 24 or 30 months)
- Change of Installation Appointment (Date/Time)
- With more than 2 working days’ notice
- With less than 2 working days’ notice
- Cancellation of On-site Installation Appointment
- Other Installation Related Charges applicable if:
- the Customer misses the appointment/not at home - the Customer is unable to meet minimum system requirements/PC/notebook & modem incompatible/ internal wiring problem
- Service Maintenance
- Maintenance Evaluation
Note: Maintenance Job includes work done to the PC/notebook and/ or modem to obtain the broadband access available.

6. |
Upgrade and Downgrade of mio Plan |
|
6.1 |
There will be no charge if the Customer upgrades mio Plan during the term of the mio Plan.
|
6.2 |
The Customer will pay a monthly gradated downgrade charge, depending on the Customer’s Services plans, if the Customer downgrades the existing mio Plan during the term of the mio Plan.
|
6.3 |
If the Customer upgrades or downgrades its existing mio Plan, the monthly subscription fee, bundled airtime and bundled SMS will be pro-rated based on the number of days the Services were used.
|

7. |
Transfer of Service(s) |
|
7.1 |
Existing Singtel Customer
- Pursuant to the requirement that all the Services under the mio Plan must be under one account, existing Singtel Customers receiving any of the Services may each transfer the Service(s) under his/her account to another account so that all the Services may be consolidated and held under one account. All administrative charges due to such transfer of Service(s) between accounts of existing Singtel customers will be waived.
- An administrative charge is applicable for the transfer of Service(s) from an existing Singtel customer to a person who is not an existing Singtel customer receiving any of the Services.

7.2 |
mio Plan Customer
- The mio Plan is transferable provided that the transferee executes the relevant documents and agrees to be bound by the Specific Terms and Conditions herein including but not limited to the applicability of premature termination and downgrade charges.
- The transferee will be able to retain and enjoy the transferor’s Singtel Mobile Service tenure loyalty.
- An administrative charge is applicable for the Customer’s transfer of its mio Plan.

8. |
Termination of mio Plan |
|
8.1 |
The Customer may request to terminate the mio Plan by calling Singtel Mobile Customer Service Hotline, 1800 555 6000 to specify which of the Service(s) that the Customer wishes to terminate. |
|
8.2 |
If the Customer terminates one or more of the Services, the Customer will no longer be eligible for the mio Plan. The Customer’s mio Plan will be automatically terminated in such an event. |
|
8.3 |
Where the Customer terminates the mio Plan or where the Customer becomes ineligible to continue the mio Plan resulting in automatic termination, the Customer shall be liable for all outstanding and applicable fees and charges pertaining to the mio Plan, including premature termination charges. |
|
8.4 |
There will be no termination charges if Customer cancels the mio Plan before all the Services are activated. The Customer will however be liable to pay a cancellation charge at prevailing rates. |
|
8.5 |
For the avoidance of doubt, termination of the mio Plan does not result in automatic termination of all Services save for such Services expressly requested by the Customer to be terminated. Any remaining Services including the supplementary Singtel Mobile lines of the Customer will be charged at prevailing prices/rates at the time of termination of the mio Plan. |

9. |
Singtel Mobile's Management of Systems and Data
Singtel Mobile and the Singtel Group Companies reserves the right to manage and control access to any computer or other electronic or telecommunications system operated or used in relation to the Services or linked to any computer or other electronic or telecommunications system operated or used in relation to the Services and any data stored therein in a manner deemed appropriate by Singtel Mobile and/or any of the Singtel Group Companies (whether belonging to, provided or stored by the Customer or otherwise), notwithstanding that such access and the storage of such data is a requirement or constitutes a part of the Service. |

10. |
Consent to Use and Disclose Customer Information and Data |
|
10.1 |
The Customer agrees that Singtel Mobile and any of the Singtel Group Companies shall be entitled to use or disclose any information or data disclosed by the Customer in accordance with Clause 15 of the General Terms. The Customer is entitled to withdraw such consent in the procedure as prescribed by Singtel Mobile and/or any of the Singtel Group Companies from time to time. |

10.2 |
The Customer further acknowledges and agrees that Singtel Mobile and any of the Singtel Group Companies may access, preserve, monitor, use and disclose any information relating to the use of mio Plan by the Customer as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain and improve the mio Plan, and to respond to requests for customer service. |
|
11. |
General |
|
11.1 |
Any Clause in the General Terms, these Specific Terms and Conditions, or any other terms and conditions as may be agreed or accepted by the Customer, that is invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall be enforced as nearly as possible in accordance with its terms, but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the enforceability of any other Clauses, which Clauses shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
